Some Answers to the Internet $64,000 Question.

Fact: December 1996 there were 16mil users online representing 0.4% of world population. (W3C)
Fact: December 2006 there were 1.129 billion users representing 16.7% of world population. (W3C)
Fact: September 2007 there were 1.245 billion users representing 18.9% of world population. (W3C)

In North America alone the penetration of the internet has reached 69.5%, the generated advertising revenue in the third quarter of 2006 was $4.2 Billion.

What Does It All Mean?
If we compare this growth to a raging river that is hurting downstream at an unstoppable rate It means TWO THINGS,
1. That at some point in time (if we haven’t already) we will be touched by this river of information.
2. That we can, if we choose, use this river to our advantage.

In other words whether we act on this information or not we will still be affected by it.
So you can choose now to either be swept away by the rapids or throw your boat in and ride down the rapids with the hundreds (thousands) of successful people that are doing just that right now.
How Can We Start?
Exactly how you do this can still pose a problem for many newbies but the good news is that there are quite a few experienced teachers and mentors out there that can help in this quest.
In my next post I will provide a few places along the river for those of you who want jump straight in or for those people who just want to put their big toe in and test the waters.
